Riptiger review
I have to be honest and say that I wasn’t expecting the Riptiger product to be as good as it is. I was pleasantly surprised at both its ease of use and download speed.
Installation was easy and straightforward and the user interface is intuitive and simple to use. You shouldn’t have to go delving into the help menus unless you are after some explanation of the more advanced settings.
The best feature of the product is its ability to capture streaming video from TV sites that some of the other URL based web capture tools would not be able to capture. It can also capture HD video from these sites and capture web video from all the main stream sites such as Youtube. In effect it gives you the best of both worlds in terms of ability to capture video clips.
When browsing video on the net with Riptiger turned on, it will automatically start downloading the clip you are looking at and store it in a folder. The download speed with which it grabs these clips was by far the fastest of all the products we tested.
You can then convert these files for playback on your ipod, phone, mp3 and other devices.
Riptiger offers 3 different pricing options but I would strongly recommend the ‘ultimate’ version if you wish to convert the files for playback on other devices. Personally I reckon they should just have the 1 pricing option that does the lot.
However at $29.99 for the full version it represents great value for money.
